‘The Irregular at Magic High School’ Anime Movie: Staff Details Revealed

We have the main staff and official screenshots from the anime movie of The Irregular at Magic High School (Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei). The movie is titled The Irregular At Magic High School Movie: ~The Girl Who Calls the Stars~ and will be released in Japan on June 17, 2017.

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei is a light novel by Tsutomu Sato, published under Dengeki Bunko. The story is set in a world where magic has been established as technology, and outlines the activities of the Shiba siblings Miyuki and Tatsuya. An anime adaption with 26 episodes was aired in 2014 (currently re-airing).

Below you can also see the first teaser trailer. Aside from the main characters Miyuki and Tatsuya, who are known from the anime series, there will also be new characters in this movie!

The director of the movie will be Risako Yoshida, who was also part of the production team of the anime series. The character designer and chief animation director will be Kana Ishikawa who also helped with the illustration of the light novel. The screenplay will be written by Tsutomu Sato personally. The music director will be Taku Iwasaki, the same as for the anime series. The animation production will be done by 8bit.
