Here are some of the factors that contributed to the favorable ratings:
– The movie features a highly realistic near-future world equipped with VR (Virtual Reality) as well as AR (Augmented Reality) that is highly likely we will experience into our society in the near future.
– Overwhelming battle action scenes and beautiful images.
– Heart-pumping music fused together with the renowned musician Yuki Kajiura’s creativity, and the beautiful singing from the movie’s AR idol singer Yuna’s voice actress Sayaka Kanda. *Yuki Kajiura is known for working on the music of Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
Many fans were worried about the quality of the film, but it seems that we are talking about a top-notch movie which is totally worthy of bearing the name Sword Art Online.
MANGA.TOKYO has previously posted a quick review of the movie, but we definitely recommend that you go see it with your own eyes!
Also, from March 10 (Friday), 66 movie theaters in Japan will launch 4DX/MX4D screenings for the movie. You can enjoy the epic battles in ARMMO RPG, Ordinal Scale installed with Augma, the cutting-edge machine that fully utilizes the AR functions. With the shaking seats as well as the overwhelming audio equipment, it will certainly be an awesome experience that you can enjoy with all 5 senses.
As this experience is deeply linked to the movie’s world, it’d be a great opportunity for all the fans to have a sense of unity with the characters.
