‘Fairy Tail –DRAGON CRY-‘ Anime Movie Reveals New Visual & Story

Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry, the second movie based on the manga and anime series Fairy Tail by Hiro Mashima, has just revealed its first official anime movie poster! The movie will premiere in May 6, 2017.

The anime movie will feature new characters Sonia, Zashu, and Animus alongside the usual suspects such as Natsu and Lucy in a new story based on a 193-page storyboard by original author Hiro Mashima.

The new poster for the anime movies was drawn by Hiro Mashima himself, and shows Natsu in what looks like a half-dragon form!

Story

In the Kingdom of Fiore lies the magical wand, Dragon Cry. The wand is said to hold enough power to overthrow the entire world. However, it is stolen by one of the rebels of the kingdom, Zash, and handed over the Animus, of the Stella Kingdom.

The magical guild is requested to recapture Dragon Cry, and Fairy Tail’s Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Grey, Elza, Wendy, and Carla sneak into the Kingdom of Stella in order to chase after Zash. In the midst of this battle over Dragon Cry, they meet the magician Sonya, who is under the service of Animus…

What is the aim of Animus, who wants to take Dragon Cry for himself!? What is the secret of Sonya, who wants to save the country?! In the midst of all this speculation, Fairy Tail must face the danger that is threatening the world!

And suddenly… Natsu’s true instincts awaken…?!
